Omai Gold Mines Corp. (TSXV: OMG) (OTCQB: OMGGF) reported gold extraction rates of 93% at 1.0 g/t Au and 95% at 3.2 g/t Au in first-phase metallurgical testwork on its Wenot and Gilt deposits in Guyana.

Omai Gold Mines Corp. (TSXV: OMG) (OTCQB: OMGGF) disclosed results from first-phase metallurgical testwork on the Wenot and Gilt deposits at its wholly owned Omai Gold Project in Guyana, reporting gold extraction rates of 93% at 1.0 g/t Au and 95% at 3.2 g/t Au. The testwork used a material grind size of 80% passing 75 microns and determined a 32-hour retention time as optimal. Chief Executive Elaine Ellingham said the results are "very favourable, and consistent with the historical production results."

The Wenot and Gilt orogenic gold deposits proved responsive to industrially proven processing technologies, with rapid gold dissolution rates and no deleterious components. The testwork found no organic carbon, tellurides, or antimony, and very low soluble copper, lead, or zinc content in both deposit mineralogies.
